Summer Haze by Lady-KL Summer Haze by Lady-KL
I really like the contours of my bird feeder outside my window and wanted to make it a subject.

The setting here is a weathered house with an overgrown yard. When painting, I decided to give it the atmosphere of a summer evening.

I wanted to put a spider on the siding and looked through a book for reference. I saw a photo of a daddy long legs, and decided that was perfect to fit the mood.

Done with watercolor.

The warm sunlight makes it so beautiful! It looks great with the other soft colours, and I love how the grass in the back kinda fades out!!!

I can spot some colour going over its lineart but I'm too relaxed by the summer-purrdyness to care! xDDD Instant fave!

I actually went outside the lines on purpose. ;) I didn't explain in it in the description....my original intention for this pic was to do a light wash of paint with minimal color, and then do an outline with black marker over it. It's something I've been wanting to try for a while.

Thanx for the comment and fave, I really appreciate it.

I see. :) Come to think of it, I think I've seen it done before. ^^; My bad, then.

And don't mention it, pleasure's all mine! :)
