Morning Graze

My Little Pony fan art! The title is a pun of "Morning Grace," the title of the opening theme to Princess Tutu.

This is Fluttershy and her rabbit friend having a graze with a herd of deer, because I can picture that happening.

As I'm typing this, I just now fucking realized I forgot her cutie mark. D= There's no changing it because it's already sprayed with fixative

I started off by making a drawing of Fluttershy and then drawing the background and deer on a separate paper. I got so focused on these deer that I almost ran out of room for the characters! I thought I might have to split it into two pieces! Which would've been OK...except for Fluttershy herself nothing in this pic is specifically MLP.

I had fun blending colors to get a sunrise/early light effect. I mixed cream, light pink, light lavender, and a salmon-y-orange color in the sky. The lighted areas have yellow and cream mixed in with their regular colors.
